My design for the set is meant for an abstract, minimalist interpretation.
The attorneys, judge, and bailiff sit in four white chairs in front of an
invisible jury represented by red chairs. On the far house right side of
the stage, Judas’s chair is isolated from the others. He remains on stage
during most of the play, watching but not reacting to his own trial.
